The UPLD slogan: " OSCAR PRESIDENT . GASTON RESIGNATION !"
About 700 persons have walked beside Oscar Temaru , the TAVINI HUIRAATIRA charismatic leardership as the U.P.L.D’s members to claim for the failure of Gaston TON SANG ‘s government , which is qualified as illegitimate. Around 06. 00 pm , the procession gathered in front of the stele of POUVANAA a OOPA , set up on TARAHOI’s place , where the Assembly of POLYNESIA is. After that , they started the walk serenly towards the Presidential palace .
A throng of active members , came from the four areas of TAHITI , claimed as strong as they could , for the failure of Gaston TONG SANG , but also to support the legitimate government of Mr PRESIDENT Oscar Manutahi TEMARU choosen by the POLYNESIAN PEOPLE ,about two years ago . On an ethnic point of view , Oscar TEMARU has clearly expressed his opinions , about the actual president of POLYNESIA , that he must leave his functions , and give back the word to the people , by the way of ballot boxes , and then , restablish the order of things. THE DISSOLUTION of the Territorial Assembly of POLYNESIA .
He also said : the policy is a science and social moral. And when we know that we have a president who has been put on examination, I think he’ d better resigned . We saw it in France, when Mr Dominic STRAUSS KHAN has resigned from his functions , awaiting for his judgement . The leadership of the TAVINI HUIRAATIRA and also of he U.P.L.D ( Union for the Democracy ) , just coming bak from a foreing stay , has noreover , commented his trip : I just came back from New-Zealand .
